Feeding Baltimore Folks

Greenbuilders is open for business. The best way to connect right now is to email me at pbart@greenbuilders.com; we’ll set up a phone call consultation, which is free. Planning–even if you’re not ready to build–makes for better projects and saves money.

Feeding Baltimore Folks

If you, like me, would like to take positive action in response to the recent demonstrations, but you don’t want to support property destruction, I have a recommendation. J. C. Faulk is a friend who has for many years walked the walk of communication and harmony between the races with his organization Circles of Voices and An End to Ignorance. When Covid hit he marshalled quickly an enormous effort to bring food to the hardest hit of Baltimore’s neighborhoods. He’s done an amazing job collecting and distributing thousands of pounds of food where it was needed, and continued during the protests to do his life-giving and harmony-producing work. Above are images from his website; I can assure you that any money you donate or help you can offer will be well and carefully used. Here’s the website: https://www.anendtoignorance.com/

DIY SOLAR COMING NEXT WEEK. I promised you a do-it-yourself solar project–not simple and not free, but possible and very fun. You might recognize the guy on the right in the image below, Dr. Francis Collins, who heads NIH and is keeping us safe and working night and day for a vaccine. You might recognize the guy on the left, Dr. Jaimie Shores, an eminent Baltimore surgeon. Why were they on the roof of my stable last summer? Stay tuned for the answer next week.
