This morning I received a call, “Are you the best green builder in Maryland? I just Googled ‘Best Green Builder Maryland’ and you came up first.”

What a fantastic question… but, how does one answer if they are the best green builder (or best general contractor for green construction) in the entire state of Maryland with the perfect combination of humility and confidence?

“Why, yes, I’d like to think I am,” I heard myself exclaim. How could I reply with anything else? I quickly added, “But, let me share some client testimonials with you, though, so you hear it from them and not me.”

Google is a funny world, isn’t it?

Amazing to think they have replaced- just about obliterated- the phone book. Now, people think nothing of grabbing a phone and keying in the magical word or phrase that will bring them to their needed destination. In my case, I’ve been experimenting with ways to help bring folks to Greenbuilders, Inc. And, while we are located in Maryland, we are based in Baltimore. This means we are most suited for serving the areas of Baltimore, Frederick, Bethesda, Silver Spring, Tacoma Park, Towson, Annapolis, Olney…. and all of the nooks and crannies in between.

What does it mean to be the Best? How is this measured?

Well, the awards and praises sure do make us feel good. I love saying we were voted Best of Baltimore not once, but twice. I love sharing the good news that we are first on Google pages when it comes to searching for ‘Best Green Builders Baltimore’ and ‘Best Green Builders Maryland’. We are on the first page and climbing for Remodels, Sustainable renovation, green construction, additions, environmental builder. The terms get pretty funny, but we like to cover our bases!

What search terms, words and phrases do you use for Green Building? We thought of ‘Energy’, ‘natural materials’, ‘health’, ‘geo-thermal’, ‘solar’, ‘quality’.

Don’t get me wrong, “Best Greenbuilder Maryland” is a fantastic term to which we are more than thrilled to be linked. So, if Greenbuilders, Inc. comes up first in Google for ‘Best Greenbuilder Maryland’, well….
